Your Pilgrimage Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival in Ankara
Welcome to Turkey! Arrive at Ankara Esenboğa Airport. Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel. Evening orientation dinner and devotional. Rev. Yakubu Pam will introduce the spiritual significance of the journey ahead.

Day 2
Ankara to Antioch (Antakya)
Fly to Hatay and visit the Cave Church of St. Peter — one of the first churches in the world. This is where followers of Jesus were first called "Christians" (Acts 11:26). Visit the Hatay Archaeological Museum with its stunning Roman mosaics. Evening worship at the cave church.

Day 3
Antioch to Tarsus
Journey to Tarsus, the birthplace of the Apostle Paul. Visit St. Paul's Well, the ancient Roman road, and Cleopatra's Gate. Walk through the old city where young Saul grew up. Devotional reflection on Paul's transformation from persecutor to apostle.

Day 4
Tarsus to Cappadocia
Travel through the Cilician Gates — the mountain pass Paul used on his journeys. Arrive in Cappadocia and visit the Göreme Open Air Museum with its rock-cut churches featuring stunning Byzantine frescoes. Evening exploration of the fairy chimney landscape.

Day 5
Cappadocia Full Day
Optional hot air balloon ride at sunrise over the fairy chimneys. Visit the Derinkuyu Underground City where early Christians hid during persecutions. Explore Kaymaklı Underground City. Visit the Ihlara Valley with its rock-carved churches. Learn about the Cappadocian Fathers — Basil the Great, Gregory of Nyssa, and Gregory of Nazianzus.

Day 6
Cappadocia to Ankara
Morning visit to Avanos and a local pottery workshop. Travel back to Ankara. Visit the Museum of Anatolian Civilizations. Farewell dinner with group sharing and testimonies of the spiritual journey.

Day 7
Departure
Transfer to Ankara Airport for departure flights. Carry the blessings and spiritual renewal of walking in Paul's footsteps back to your home and community.
